ChatGPT has caused quite a storm since its official release in November 2022. The AI chatbot has blown people’s minds with its ability to accurately answer questions on nearly all subjects and write poems, essays, and even music. Users have been in awe at how the AI can write and debug computer programming code too. ChatGPT’s arrival has truly signaled a new dawn. Tech giant Microsoft has given serious backing to OpenAI, the developers of ChatGPT, and it’s release prompted founder Bill Gates to state that it “will change our world.”
Presumably, the tech mogul meant that ChatGPT and its successors will change our world for the better. The comment came after he told a German outlet that AI’s ability to read, write and understand content would help people a lot when it came to writing.
But Gates hasn’t got this one totally right…
One thing that the new AI won’t be able to help us humans do is with is write a decent book. As of now, ChatGPT and its contemporaries are simply not up to scratch when it comes to competing with a human author.
